I love jewellery that invokes jaw-dropping reactions and I believe this next lady’s work is a great example of just that. Lisa Walker was born in New Zealand but from what I can gather from her CV, she must have a passport full of checking point stamps from working in various projects in Europe, Japan, America and Australia. It’s so interesting to see how she explores what jewellery is and what she can do with such a big (and mostly inexpensive) range of materials.

She is currently exhibiting her works in the Netherlands, at both Gallery Ra (15.10-26.11.2011) and the Cobra Museum (15.10-11.12.2011) and I’d love to see how people here in Greece would react if I came down the street wearing one of these wonderful pieces.
