It’s so interesting to see how one of the most famous jewellery design fairs in Europe has evolved in the past ten years. SIERAAD started out inside an “indoor tennis court” but it soon outgrew the venue and has found a home in a former gasholder, the Gashouder of the WesterGasterrein, in (where else?) Amsterdam.
The fair gives the chance to many jewellery artists to show and sell their work. Those who are interested not only in the buying but also in the making of jewellery, will have the chance to learn more about various schools and colleges. The two featured schools this year are the Antwerp Royal Academy of Fine Arts and Strasbourg Ecole Supérieure des Arts Décoratifs.
If you have the chance to visit the fair from 3-6 November, please feel free to share your experience with us.
