Ok, this is sooo unfair!
I refuse to accept that any awesome and totally fabulous workshops such as Lucia Massei’s “Pigments on Metal” take place far away from here and without ME! Unfortunately, due to scheduling conflicts (a.k.a. “work”), I will not be able to take this course.
Dear Lucia, why don’t do you come and teach such a wonderful workshop here in Athens???
I mean, why people? Why Florence? What does Florence have that Athens doesn’t? We too have lots of museums. We too have old buildings and sculptures lying around! We too exploit tons of tourists every year! We even have a prime minister no one elected, just like they do! See? It’s practically the same place. Oh, I forgot, we also have the Parthenon. Have they got a Parthenon? This last (and also amazing) argument proves my point that it makes much more sense to have this workshop right here, in Athens!
Nevertheless, just to show every one what I will be missing, this is a short description of the course taken from Alchimia’s blog:
Pigmenti sul Metallo / Pigments on Metal
“Introduction to colours/pigments and demonstration of various colouring techniques on metal: hot acrylics, pigments and their application, resins, (mixed media), chemical thinners and adhesives. rolling mill stamping, flame gilding. Realization of one or more coloured jewels using silver/copper/brass“.
06.01.2012 – 08.01.2010 and 16.03.2012 – 18.03.2012
Fridays from 5pm to 8pm.
Saturdays and Sundays from 10am to 5pm (with one hour lunch break)
Well, there you have it. I suddenly have the urge to consume massive amounts of milch chocolate. Meanwhile, you can all take a look at some gorgeous pictures from Lucia’s work.
